About the Conference
This 2-day international conference brings together leading researchers from Australia, Spain, the United States, and Vietnam to address digital transformation, sustainable infrastructure, and advanced structural engineering. The 2026 edition features a special theme on Smart Technologies for High-Speed Railway and Transport Infrastructure.
The conference is structured as a bilingual event over two full days. Day 1 is dedicated entirely to keynote presentations by international and Vietnamese experts, with morning and afternoon sessions. Day 2 features parallel sessions with academic research and industrial application tracks in the morning, followed by a hands-on workshop and laboratory visit in the afternoon.
Conference Objectives
Knowledge Exchange
Share research on BIM, AI, Digital Twin, smart materials, resilient infrastructure for transportation, and high-speed railway bridge design according to European standards
Industry Relevance
Connect academic research with Vietnam's HSR development priorities and industry applications
International Collaboration
Strengthen partnerships between Australian, Spanish, American, and Vietnamese institutions and enterprises
Publication Support
Guide researchers toward publication through a JSTT Special Issue and mentorship toward higher-impact journals
Capacity Building
Enhance research and publication skills for Vietnamese academics and students

University of Transport Technology
The University of Transport Technology (UTT) is Vietnam's premier institution for transportation engineering education and research, uniquely positioned to develop curriculum, train engineers, establish international partnerships, and contribute knowledge for the HSR project.
Leading the National Excellence Training Network
Assigned by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), UTT serves as the coordinating institution for the Network of Centers of Excellence and Talent in Advanced and Smart Transport Technology and Infrastructure — one of a family of networks aligned with Industry 4.0.
Three Priority Ecosystems
As the network's nucleus, UTT proactively connects and partners with all members to build an open, creative, and collaborative space dedicated to developing high-quality human resources for Vietnam's transport sector.

HSR Training & Research Capability
UTT operates 7 specialized railway programs — including a dedicated high-speed railway track — spanning undergraduate, honors, and postgraduate levels.
Dedicated Facilities
Network Goals 2025–2030
